Partnership with Evergreen Solar

Jiawei Solar (Wuhan) Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Jiawei Solarchina Co., Ltd. signed a frame agreement with Evergreen Solar, Inc. and Wuhan Donghu New Technology Development Zone on April 30, 2009 to provide manufacturing services for Evergreen Solar in cells processing and panels assembling, utilizing Evergreen Solar's String Ribbon wafer technology at a new facility being constructed in Wuhan, China.

The partnership is to construct the new solar manufacturing facility at Wuhan Donghu New Technology Development Zone. Initial capacity is expected to be approximately 100 MW and will ramp up production early 2010, with expectations that capacity will be expanded to approximately 500 MW by 2012.

Evergreen Solar, Inc. develops, manufactures and markets String Ribbon solar power products using its proprietary, low-cost silicon wafer technology.
