Donation of Solar Modules to Sichuan Disaster Area for Reconstruction

Jiawei is supporting the University of Hong Kong primary schools reconstruction project in Sichuan disaster area by donating solar modules. Professor Ding Kongxian, chairman of Jiawei Solarchina Co., Ltd., Executive Director Ms Nancy Chau and head of PV system department Dr.Sam Lam on behalf of Jiawei; Professor Hung Y.S, Dr. Wilton Fok, Dr. Alfred C.H.Yu on behalf of the University of Hong Kong attended the brief ceremony held in the University of Hong Kong on 26 May, 2009.

The 2008 Sichuan earthquake was a deadly earthquake that measured at 8.0 Ms and 7.9 Mw on May 12, 2008 in Sichuan province of China and killed at least 68,000.China government and different organizations are rebuilding Sichuan for recovery.

Jiawei is active in exchanging photovoltaic experiences and knowledge with academic sector and also fulfills its social responsibility through collaboration.
