Feasibility studies on the Building Integrated PV (BIPV) system:
The feasibility study will provide a rough estimation on the cost and benefits of the intended PV system to be built for the specific project. The annual energy yield is analyzed (or generated) by computer simulation programme. The daily and hourly energy yield can also be estimated for the client's co-relating to the daily load profile if required. |

Technical specifications on system components and installation details:
This second stage involves the detail technical specifications for the system components. All the technical requirements of the essential components for the PV system will be put together in a format suitable for comprising a tender document. |

Technical drawings including details on the system integration with building:
This part is in conjunction with item number 2. Technical drawings in the format of Auto-CAD files will be prepared for tendering purpose. Design team meetings are conducted in the purpose of preparing CAD drawings according to the clients' requirements. |

Equipment schedule for cost estimation purpose:
A detail equipment schedule to be submitted in conjunction with items 2 and 3 for tender purpose. Close liaison with the Quantity Surveyor on the format of Equipment Schedule is required. |

Technical advice to the design team on building integration issues:
Architectural aspects on building integrations of both the PV and wind systems require careful considerations. The consultancy work could include technical support to the architects when putting down the architectural specifications and drawings when the PV systems are involved. |

Project liaison during tendering period:
Provide technical support and expertise advice on the materials submitted for tender review. The major function is to select appropriate complete solutions for the PV system to be built. |

System components and solutions provision:
The supply of each single component for the PV system is examined to ensure that they are up to the Standards specified. They are also required to meet the overall programme of the project. |

Installation on site:
All installation procedures and methodologies have to follow strictly the technical specifications and the relevant Standards. Close liaison between parties, especially the client, the Architect, the Engineer, and the contractor will be required at this stage. |

Testing and commissioning:
To ensure the proper functioning of the PV system, a series of testing and commissioning procedures are to be carried out. The T&C are to be witnessed by the representatives from the clients and/or Government bodies. |

Operational phase:
During the operation of the PV system, proper monitoring of the performance of the system could provide the client with a lot of useful information. If monitoring system is not installed, routine checking and proper maintenance procedures should be in place. |
